Great Place To Work

Walk your talk 2023

The challenge
Great Place to Work (GPTW) is an authority on healthy organizational culture. After research among millions of employees worldwide, the conclusion was that a Great Place to Work is essentially based on one foundation: trust. GPTW supports employers in developing this foundation with the aim of making every organization worldwide a Great Place to Work For All.

Every year, GPTW presents the Best Workplaces Awards for groundbreaking organizations that set an example in organizational culture, and to inspire others. This year, GPTW Netherlands wanted to use this event to strengthen their image as an expert. In addition to their work as certifiers, they also want to be a consulting sparring partner. This is how we were challenged to develop a multi-layer program for the Best Workplaces Awards and to establish more involvement and connection with stakeholders.

The approach
The increasing polarization of society also has repercussions on the workplace. This is exactly where  GPTW's strength and added value lies as a thought leader and conversation starter. To make all employers a Great Place to Work For All, it is important to engage in conversation, no matter how challenging a topic may be. That is why we set out an inspiring walk in Utrecht prior to the Best Workplaces Awards. During the walk there was an opportunity to start a conversation and to stimulate awareness about work-related topics such as mental health, equality and LGBTQ+. “Walk Your Talk” became a call to action with GPTW as the initiator and the Best Workplaces as the frontrunners. They are a community that sets an example and puts their money where their mouth is.

The result
300+ CEOs, HR Specialists and others started June 2, 2023 in the Walk Your Talk walk, through the historic center of Utrecht. Along the route, participants were informed and encouraged to talk openly with each other about mental health, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, gender and opportunity equality in the workplace.
