What do you do as an Account Lead at The Oval Office?

The goal of the new Client Lead Netherlands is to define, structure, and execute the commercial strategy. You report directly to the Managing Director Netherlands.

You ensure that all clients with ongoing projects are satisfied and remain so. You identify and seize opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Additionally, you proactively seek out new, promising brands to expand our client portfolio, utilizing your network or other activities to generate new leads.

You feel confident in a leadership role and can leverage your team's talent to achieve the maximum from your team's objectives and people. You enjoy entrepreneurship, creating new strategies and teams, guiding people, and providing them with the necessary frameworks.

With your positive attitude, you proactively contribute to the development of The Oval Office through your initiative, creativity, and optimism. Your attitude and corresponding actions steer TOO in a direction that aligns with the agency's commercial goals.

This also includes creating a robust plan to increase TOO's visibility among our target audience. You work closely with the MD and the CCO of the group. The account lead sits on the management team (MT) and strategically contributes to the direction and positioning of The Oval Office.

What are your responsibilities?

• You seek new business opportunities with both new and existing clients (nationally and internationally) and become the clients' Best Friend Forever (BFF) to build long-lasting relationships.
• You advise clients on how to create genuine connections with their audience: you are their communication expert to help them achieve their objectives.
• In collaboration with the Production Lead, you assemble the right colleagues in the project team, from strategists and creatives to production experts. You are responsible for the quality of our proposals and implementations.
• You oversee finances with both clients, your team, and the Finance department.
• You lead a team of 3 accounts (campaign experts), guiding and coaching them on a daily basis in projects and helping them (and the team) grow. You actively promote a fun and fair workplace.
• You are part of the Dutch leadership team but also actively collaborate with international colleagues to build a strong international portfolio of clients.
• You are a true ambassador for The Oval Office, both within and outside the agency.
• You represent The Oval Office as an external spokesperson, which includes participating in networking events.

Who are you as a professional?

• 8+ years of experience in leading communication projects, corporate accounts, and budgets in an agency environment.
• A proven track record in growing client portfolios.
• Experience with live experiences is a significant asset.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong commercial and communication skills. Results-oriented and service-focused.
• Structured, with an eye for detail.
• 5+ years of experience in team leadership and balancing people and business.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
